On the South West less than an hour from Mallorca is the nature reserve of Cabrera. This is an uninhabited group of islands with plenty of history. Beyond Andratx to the west is the Sa Dragonera Nature Reserve. Mallorca is blessed with a warm and pleasant climate, making it an excellent charter destination most months of the year. The climate is typically Mediterranean, with hot and dry summers and autumn/winter rains. Most of the rain falls between September and November. Mostly rain falls in short storms broken up with warm days and blue skies. Excluding the high mountain areas, the average annual temperature is between 16ºC and 18ºC. The maximum summer average is around 29-31ºC. Between January and March the minimum average winter night-time temperature is around 5-9ºC. with mostly mild days and blue skies.
