About Superyacht Revolution

As can be seen, superyacht Revolution is a 47m luxury motor yacht.  She was designed by Vripack and is currently being built in the Jongert shipyard in the Netherlands. Accordingly, her delivery is due in 2019. Her top speed is 14.0kn and her power comes from a diesel electric engine. She can accommodate up to 16 people and 11 crew members.

Significantly, SuperYacht Revolution is an explorer yacht.  She suits an owner who is also an experienced captain.  This is because Revolution can be sailed by one captain.  Jongert and Vripack pushed way beyond any known limit for this range of yachts. “At 47 meter just under 500GT she boasts no less than 7 state rooms and 6 crew cabins, a 6 meter swimming pool, 8 meter Limo tender and 12 square meter gym. And that's just the tip of the iceberg”, says Vripack Creative Director Marnix J. Hoekstra. “Also her technical backbone is the crème de la crème giving her outstanding expedition capability in terms of safety, reliability, comfort and longevity. More than one part hasn’t even invented yet.”

Interior

Inside she is as much the yacht of the sportive adventurous owner as well as his lovely wife and playful kids.  So, Revolution is a globetrotter which can safely handle the Seven Seas and provides the comfort of a family home and got nothing less.”

Accommodation

On board, Revolution will feature accommodation for 16 guests and 11 crew.  The lower deck guest state rooms are directly connected to the crew cabins allowing for quick undisturbed service access. A central staircase is available for the crew as well as for the guests.

Relaxation and Entertainment

Right at the back one will find the jet stream pool with separate jacuzzi. The top deck hosts a full equipped gym and sports-bar.

While the options for relaxation are plentiful. The superyacht swimming pool measures six metres long with an adjacent Jacuzzi, while the aft-deck gym spreads over 28 square metres of deck space.

Performance

The yacht will be powered by a diesel-electric propulsion with two 360-degree rudder pods by Veth that will have a maximum power of 550 kW each. Veth will develop the system especially for this project that it meets the requirements by the engineers.

Following the holistic signature the yard team together with the Vripack engineers created a diesel-electric drive train which to date is only available for bigger yards. The biggest benefit is for the owners as the engine room is about 50% smaller than normal due to the space efficiency of electrical drives and electrical pods. Another innovation which will be created is the mooring system that will allow the yacht to be docked without any mooring line hooked or anchor dropped.
